2.1 What you require for using the Accu-Chek Smart Pix Pocket Tools software

You always require:

• The Accu-Chek Smart Pix device reader.

• A PC which meets the relevant system requirements

(see User's Manual for the Accu-Chek Smart Pix

device reader), with a printer if you wish to print

reports or diaries.

• Adobe Reader or a comparable program must be

installed to be able to print PDF files.

The following requirements must be met to be able to use

special functions:

• An additional free USB port if you wish to use not only

the Accu-Chek Smart Pix device reader but also the

Accu-Chek Smart Pix Pocket Tools software directly

from the USB flash drive.

• Internet access to download software updates and

send emails.

• A properly configured email program (Microsoft Out-

look, Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird) to be

able to email reports.
